Employee Suffers Fracture In Fall From Ladder

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2004, Employee #1, a laborer, had climbed up the attached iron ladder on a large dumpster to check its contents. When Employee #1 climbed down, he stepped back, from the bottom first rung, onto the ground. Employee #1's left foot landed on a 2-in. by 4-in. piece of wood that was partially sticking out from underneath the trash bin. Employee #1 lost his balance and twisted his left foot and ankle. Employee #1 sustained multiple fractures to his left ankle and was hospitalized.
