Investigation Summary
On September 19, 2002, Employee #1 was performing line clearance tree trimming from an extension ladder. The tree was located approximately 18 to 20 inches from an energized line. He was electrically shocked when a limb came in contact with the overhead power line. He fell approximately 30 ft to the ground and was hospitalized for severe head injuries, electrical shock and burns, and a compound fracture to his leg.
