Investigation Summary
At 10:15 p.m. on April 22, 2002, an employee was changing an indexing light for a Shelling Saw table which sets the table height for moving cut pressed wood from one level to the next. As he was performing his task, the device was not locked out and the table began to approach. The employee was caught between the movable table and a steel beam near where the photo cell was mounted. An Emergency Response Team was called and he was transported to the hospital. He died of his injuries.
