Event: 09/11/2002
Employee Falls Off of Boxcar; Dies from Multiple Injuries

The deceased, an automobile boxcar loader, was last seen by a co-worker putting an auto bridge plate between two automobile railroad boxcars. Several minutes later, a co-worker found the employee on the ground, unconscious. The employee was taken to a hospital where he later died. It was believed that the deceased might have had a heart attack, but after the autopsy it was determined that the deceased had died from multiple injuries sustained during a fall from an automotive carrier/railroad boxcar.
