Worker in Field Is Struck and Killed by Lightning

Employee #1 and three coworkers were working in a field, when an approaching storm turned the sky dark. The property owner instructed them to return to their truck, but before they made it to the truck, it started to rain. Lightning struck the ground in front of them, shocking all four workers and throwing them to the ground. Employee #1 was on fire. His foot was struck by the lightning, and the current had ripped his pants and gone through his head. Employee #1 died, either from the electrocution or from the burns.
