Employee killed when struck by a motor vehicle

At approximately 8:48 a.m. on December 20, 2002, a crew of seven employees was picking up trash along the interstate highway within the city limits of Webster, TX. Employee #1 was struck by a drunk driver. She was struck when the driver's vehicle veered off the freeway into the grassy median between the freeway and the feeder road where the Employee #1 was working. The vehicle struck Employee #1 with the right front of the vehicle sending her sailing into the air. Employee #1 was transported by Life Flight to the hospital where she died.
