Employee Bruised by Flying Chunks from Log-Turning Operation

Employee #1 had bruises when he was struck in the back by flying chunks from logs. Employee #1 placed some logs in the ready position for turning. He then moved to a different position. Employee #1 gave the signal to the yarder engineer to proceed with the turn. As the logs were turning, a loose chunk struck Employee #1 in his back. Employee #1 saw it coming and began to run. However, the chunks struck his back causing bruises. Employee #1 went to a local hospital for treatment.
