Employee killed in fall from scaffold platform

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on November 7, 2000, Employee #1 and a coworker were spreading blocks of bricks on a one-buck high, single-frame scaffold. Employee #1 was standing on the 77 in. by 7 ft by 62 in. deep scaffold deck when he apparently turned around, misjudged his footing, and fell, head first, approximately 9 ft to the dirt ground. He was treated at the site and then transported to the local hospital, where he died.
