Employee killed when run over by trailer wheel

On June 20, 2001, Employee #1 was working as a construction laborer. The employee was bent over at the waist taking tools out of a five gallon bucket which was located on the passenger side of a Keifer Industries fifth wheel trailer. The trailer was loaded with foundation forms. Employee #1 was standing in front of the tires and as the trailer began to move forward, the tire caught the employee's leg and ran over him. The truck driver did not see Employee #1 because the employee was on the passenger side of the trailer and bent over. Employee #1 died of his injuries.
