Employee killed when struck by motor vehicle

On December 26, 2000, Employee #1 was working as a residential assistant for a waste hauler and was wearing the orange shirt provided by the employer for low light conditions. He had retrieved a trashcan on the other side of the road and begun crossing the road, when a motor vehicle struck him. The impact of the collision caused him to received severe cerebral trauma. He succumbed to the traumatic injuries and died approximately 3 weeks later.
