Investigation Summary
On June 28, 2002, Employee #1 placed an extension ladder at the rear entrance door to gain access to a DC-6 aircraft. He climbed the ladder and before he could fasten the top of the extension ladder, the ladder slipped off the aircraft. Employee #1 fell approximately 8 feet 8 inches to the concrete floor, fracturing his fingers. He was hospitalized.
