Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 200372241
Event: 03/20/2002
Employee died of heart attack

On March 20, 2002, Employee #1 and a coworker of Acosta Heating & Cooling were installing thermostat wire into the attic of the new activity center at Ocean Lakes Campground. Employee #1 told his coworker over the radio that he had the wire and the coworker, who was on the floor below started moving flex conduit. After fifteen to twenty minutes he had not heard from the victim and called him on the radio. When he got no response, he started looking from him outside and then in the attic where he found him lying on the floor cold and blue. He administered CPR. There was no power hooked to the building and no temporary power was on the floor the victim was waiting on. There was no apparent cause of death. The coroner's report revealed that the victim died of natural causes from a heart attack.
