Employee Injured When Struck By a Forklift

Employee #1 was in the dry produce area of a food service facility inventorying items on a pallet. A forklift operator on a stand-up lift was backing up nearby to allow another forklift to pass when the left leg of Employee #1 was struck. She was transported to the hospital and treated for a fractured left leg. The operator of the forklift was found to be untrained.
