Employee is killed when shot by handgun

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on July 23, 2003, Employee #1, a Councilman, was meeting in the balcony area of the chambers. As he was leaving the balcony to go to the legislative floor, the person he was meeting with shot him multiple times with a handgun and killed him.
