Employee injured in fall from scaffolding

On November 19, 1999, Employee #1, of Stat Plastering, Inc., was working on a tubular-welded frame scaffold 18.5 ft high, 40.5 ft long, and 3 ft wide. The employee was applying stucco to the west side of the building. While on the scaffold, the employee climbed onto the rear section of the roof to retrieve a five gallon bucket of Dryvit cement compound. Employee #1 lost his balance and fell 18.5 ft from the planking. The employee was hospitalized with fractured bones in his face.
