Employee Killed When Ejected from Aerial Lift

An employee was working from an aerial lift, installing a cable to a traffic sensor at the corner of a roadway intersection. A refuse truck traveling in the southbound curb lane of one of the two roads struck the boom of the aerial lift, ejecting the employee from the bucket. Although the employee was using a full body harness and lanyard, he sustained fatal head injuries.
