Investigation Summary
At approximately 8:16 a.m. on April 25, 2000, Employee #1 was working on a gut/rehab construction site as a supervisor. He was instructed to go up to the roof and have one of the workers remove a dead electric line that was draped over the cornice, so the cornice could be torn down. Employee #1 was removing the line himself when the cornice gave way and he fell about five stories onto a sidewalk shed below. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:56 a.m.
