Employee injured when struck by falling bundle of trusses

Employee #1 was trying to push a gable onto a stationary Sky Trak forklift loaded with eight bundled, 32 ft long trusses when the load shifted. He was struck by the trusses as they slid off the forks, sustaining injuries that required hospitalization. The company had an established safety and health program, but Employee #1 had not been trained in the safe procedures for loading a forklift or for securing awkward loads.
