Investigation Summary
An employee was setting up a panel saw for his regular shift. After running one panel, the employee noticed the top saw needed to be replaced. He then shut off the saw, locked it out at the electrical control panel, and proceeded to remove the top blade guard and exhaust hood. While the top saw was completely shut off, the bottom saw continued to coast for several minutes. His right finger came in contact with the coasting lower saw and was severely cut.
