Employee killed in explosion while welding

Employee #1 was cutting on some Number 2 steel pipes with an oxygen and acetylene torch when an explosion occurred. It appears that the explosion originated from an adjacent 55-gallon drum containing an unknown substance. The explosion caused the bottom to separate from the drum, which struck Employee #1 in the face causing massive facial trauma. Employee #1 was killed.
