Investigation Summary
Employee #1 and Employee #2, two highway construction workers, died when they were struck by a vehicle on an icy road. The two construction workers were responding as "good Samaritans" to assist a motorist whose pick-up truck left the road due to a patch of ice. Within seconds of assisting the motorist, another vehicle killed both construction workers when it left the icy road on the same path as the pick-up truck and slid into the construction workers.
