ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE

A power line crew was replacing the electric service to a residence. As the crew was removing the existing service, an employee working from an aerial lift contacted the stinger wire at the transformer. The employee, who was not wearing rubber insulating gloves, was electrocuted.
