Investigation Summary
On May 3, 2005, Employee #1, an emergency medical technician and Employee #2, a volunteer were riding an ambulance, transporting a heart attack patient. The driver of the ambulance tried to avoid collision on Route 25a in Aquebogue, Long Island and struck a tree, resulting in the deaths of both Employee #1 and #2. The driver of the ambulance and patient survived the crash.
