Employee is injured when bitten

At approximately 3:20 p.m. on May 18, 2004, Employee #1, a teaching assistant, was working with developmentally disabled adults ("clients") and was assisting a client in using the restroom and changing his soiled clothing when the client lunged at the employee. The employee was bitten on the ring finger of his left hand and the end of his fingertip was amputated from the bite. He was transported to Kaiser-Baldwin Park Emergency Room for treatment and hospitalization.
