Investigation Summary
On March 9, 1998, Employee #1, who was a finger joint operator, was attempting to adjust the blades on a finger jointer. After shutting down the machine, he did not wait for the machine to come to a complete stop. Employee #1 reached to the heads, which were still turning, to get to the blades. The blades came in contact with Employee's left arm and cut it severely. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
