Employee killed in fall from ladder on building roof

Employee #, age 20, was engaged in touch-up painting on the spark diffuser at the top of a chimney on an apartment building. The chimney was close to the eave of the L-shaped, 5-in-12 pitched roof. Employee was apparently using a folded, 6 ft stepladder leaned against the inside of the chimney when he fell approximately 22 ft onto the paved driveway. He was killed. There were no witnesses to this accident.
