Employee injures hand in conveyor

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on October 11, 2001, Employee #1, a checker/sorter with Federal Express in Oakland, CA, caught her right hand at a transfer point of a conveyor (number NC4-6) while trying to grab a plastic bag which was being pulled between the ends of the conveyors. She was hospitalized with abrasions.
