Employee Suffers Laceration of Hand

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on May 27, 2003, Employee #1 was working as a carpenter apprentice. Employee #1 was removing part of a wall in the cafeteria to have a door installed. Employee #1 and a coworker were working from a rolling scaffold. Employee #1 was coming down the rolling scaffold and was about one rung above the ground. Employee #1 slipped and his left hand reached and grabbed onto the sharp edges of a metal stud framing track. Employee #1's left palm was deeply lacerated and he suffered cut tendons. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
