Employee amputates finger in a plastic pipe belling machine

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on May 22, 2004, an employee of Lanson and Sessions, was showing a new employee how to set up the plastic pipe belling machine. He went to point out a mistake on the depth set of the expander plug. When he reached down and pointed, the plug cycled and caught the third finger of the right hand, severing the tip. The employee was treated and released from Woodland Health care.
