Workers Are Injured When Suspended Scaffold Wire Breaks

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on August 29, 2009, Employees #1 and #2 and two coworkers of Pop Global Inc. were hanging an ad banner. They used a 40-foot wide, suspended scaffold and were at the eleventh floor. One of the two metal support ropes broke and Employees #1 and #2 fell. Employee #1 was hospitalized for multiple facial fractures, head injuries, including eye socket and tooth repair. Employee #2 was hospitalized for fractures to right pelvis, ribs, internal bleeding, bruised spleen and liver and damage to left rotator cuff.
