Employee Dies in Fall from Elevated Location

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on November 20, 2007, Employee #1, an auto mechanic in the auto repair shop, was changing a power steering pump in a car, which was elevated about 7 ft above the ground. While lying on the engine and working on it at the height of about 8 ft above the ground, Employee #1 fell. He sustained multiple skull fractures and was transported to a hospital. Then Employee #1 was transferred to a second hospital for treatment. Employee #1 died on November 23, 2007. Employee #1 worked for the employer in the auto repair shop for about four months prior to the accident.
