Investigation Summary
On May 9, 2003, Employee #1 was using a Makita Power Planer to true up a 2-in. by 4in. by 9-ft wall stud, when he inadvertently lost control of the planer. Employee #1 suffered lacerations and bone loss to his right index finger, when he tried to catch the wall stud before it hit the floor. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for his injuries.
