Employee's Finger Is Amputated While Unloading Trench

At about 4:00 p.m. on June 29, 2005, Employee #1 was working with a crew at a construction job site. Employee #1 was unloading some metal trench shores from the back of a truck by hands. The shore, that he was holding, slipped from his grasp and pinched his fingers between the edge of the shore and the edge of the tailboard of the truck. The part of Employee #1's finger was amputated and he was hospitalized.
