Employees Are Injured When Frame Collapses

At about 11:05 a.m. on October 15, 2003, Employees #1, #2, and #3 were working on the reconstruction of a wood-framed carport. Some of the vertical support members had been replaced, but they were not supported by any bracing. The structure suddenly collapsed, falling on the workers and injuring them. Employee #1 sustained a fracture to his head. Employee #2 sustained bruises, contusions, and abrasions to his legs. Employee #3 sustained bruises, contusions, and abrasions to his upper arm. All three were hospitalized for treatment.
