At approximately 10:00 a.m. on May 21, 2003, Employee #1, a roofer, was working near the edge of a roof. For some reason, he lost his balance and fell 23 feet to the ground. He was not wearing any fall protection. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for his injuries, which included several broken bones.
