Employee Falls from a Ladder

At approximately 8:15 a.m. on July 19, 2005, Employee #1, a journeyman electrician, was installing an electric service to a structure. He was on the third step of a 10-ft ladder, and his tool belt was lodged on some ductwork. He slipped, kicking the stepladder, which fell to the floor. He was able to grab hold of some ducts but fell to the concrete fracturing his pelvis, six ribs on his right side and injuring his right knee. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
