Employee fell from a ladder and broke his back

A framer was nailing hangers while standing on the second story top plates. There was scaffolding on the outside of the two-story home and the flooring was installed inside on the second floor the home. A coworker was working nearby and attempted to get on the same top plate. This caused the truss to move which caused the employee to lose his balance and fall. He fell to the inside of the home and landed on the second story flooring. He was hospitalized with a fractured spinal column.
