Employee's finger caught by conveyor

On May 6, 2004, an employee working as a machine operator was drying a stopped conveyor belt with a rag when the rag became caught in the moving conveyor belt to the operator's right. The moving conveyor paddles pulled in the rag and smashed the employee's little finger requiring surgical amputation from the base of the nail. She was not hospitalized.
