Investigation Summary
On April 21, 2003, the truck driver was tarping the load, seven rolls of paper, on the flatbed trailer of the truck. The driver had already tarped and secured the back half of the load and was attempting to tarp the front half. Standing on the load, the driver was attempting to straighten out the second tarp when his footing was lost. The driver hit the trailer, sustaining a compound fracture of the right leg, and then falling onto the ground. He was hospitalized and treated for fracture.
