Investigation Summary
At approximately 3:15p.m., on July 8, 2001, in Paso Robles, CA, Employee #1 fell 15 ft through a 6-ft by 4-ft skylight. He was spraying water on the sheep barn roof to help find leaks. There are about 14 skylights on this roof made of fiberglass sheets. He was pulling the water hose, stepped onto a skylight, and fell 15 ft onto an asphalt floor. No protection was provided to prevent falling through the skylight. He sustained a broken hip.
