Employee injured in fall from storage shelving

On January 10, 2003, Employee #1 was using a mobile ladder stand to stock items on the shelves of a discount retail grocer. When he stepped on a product case stored on a pallet on top of the shelves, the case was not able to support his weight and he fell 8.5 feet to the concrete floor. He shattered his left elbow and was taken to Kaiser Hospitalized for treatment.
