Employee's leg fractured in fall from steps

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on November 21, 2002, Employee #1, a superintendent, told two cleanup men, who started to work for the company that morning, to move the steps to the job trailer, in order to stack materials to build a cinderblock wall. Employee #1 entered the trailer and later walked out of the front door. The steps moved and Employee #1 fell approximately 17 in. to the ground. His left leg twisted, causing a compound fracture. He was transported to St. Agnes Hospital and underwent a surgery.
