Employee Slips On Bag and Fractures Arm

At approximately 2:24 p.m. on December 19th, 2002, Employee #1 was standing on a truck bed loading vinyl burlap bags that were full of landscape waste (grass and brush clippings). He slipped on one of the bags and lost his balance, which caused him to fall out of the truck. Employee #1 sustained a compound fracture of his left arm. He was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital and underwent surgery to repair his arm.
