Two employees fall after scaffold collapses

At about 12:56 p.m. on June 5, 2002, Employee #1 and Employee #2 were working on a metal scaffold that was about 13 ft 9 in. high. Employees #1 and #2 were putting new fascia on the eaves of a two-story building when the scaffold they were standing on collapsed. Employee #1 was at one end and fell onto a concrete driveway. He landed on his feet and suffered a compound fracture of his left leg. Employee #2 was at the other end of the scaffold. He fell and injured his back, neck, left shoulder and hip. Both employees were hospitalized.
