Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was helping to strip lumber and stack it on a pile. He had dropped off a 2 in. by 6 in. by 6 ft long piece of lumber when, on his return trip, he collapsed onto the concrete slab. Coworkers immediately performed CPR, but he was unresponsive. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at UMC, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:45 p.m.
