Employee killed when oil tank explodes

Employee #1, a mechanic, was welding closed a small leak that had been detected in a 275-gallon oil tank. He had drained the oil below the area where the leak was detected, but almost immediately after the stick of the arc welder was placed against the metal, the tank exploded. Employee #1 was killed.
