Employee killed when struck by falling log

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 4, 1998, Employee #1 attempted to secure 38 logs that had already been placed on a truck for delivery to a sawmill. He was using a 32 ft long, 3/8-in. chain and binder when a log rolled off the truck and struck him in the chest. Employee #1 died of asphyxia.
