Employee killed when buried in trench cave-in

Employee #1 and a coworker were inside an approximately 14 ft deep trench. They were inside an 8 ft tall trench box when dirt from the southeastern side of the trench caved in. The coworker braced himself against the wall of the trench box, but Employee #1 panicked and ran out. He was buried under approximately 4 ft of dirt, and was killed.
