ELECTRIC SHOCK - CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE THRU TREE BRANCH

An employee climbed a tree to trim some of its branches. He cut partway through a small branch with a handsaw. When he pulled the branch back by hand, a lower portion of the branch contacted a 24-kilovolt (phase-to-ground) overhead power line. The employee received an electric shock. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
