Employee drowns after falling from lobster boat

On August 1, 1997, Employee #1, the deckhand on a lobster boat, was re-setting 20 traps stored on the transom of a boat. There was 50 to 75 ft of polyethylene line between each of the traps. Employee #1's foot became entangled in the line on deck and, as the last of the traps went in the water, he was pulled overboard. Employee #1 drowned.
